Julie’s Story | Aurora IL
“It can be very scary to find out that you’re pregnant when it wasn’t planned. I get it. I’ve been there,” says Julie Garafolo, executive director of Waterleaf Women’s Center, a faith-based pregnancy resource center located just across a private drive from the Aurora Planned Parenthood.
Julie shares the moment she realized she could abort her child and no-one would know. One person reached out to her and promised to walk with her through the pregnancy, and at that moment she chose life for her oldest daughter.
Today, Julie’s experience helps her relate to young women who come to Waterleaf Women’s Center for assistance. Her desire is that they would not have to face their challenges alone.
